Thanks for your question, Brian. I would absolutely use a pre-electric lotion or shave wet. In fact, the reason why I bought this razor is its ability to be used in the shower. I don't have air conditioning in my house and so when the summer months are here, it is IMPOSSIBLE to dry shave with any electric. When those months are upon us, I will be using this razor exclusively wet. Of course, the other razors I will be buying over the next few weeks will also be wet/dry for the same reason, i.e. the Kemei razors, Panasonic, etc.
