Thinking of getting a Braun Series 8 over the 9

I'm thinking of a Series 8, instead of the 9. I don't like shaver heads with large gaps between foils. The 9 has a few large gaps, bars, trimmers, etc. The 8 has the more traditional 2 foils/cutters, and one long hair trimmer in the middle.

I also miss the ease of being able to remove the foils, and get to the cutters for cleaning. Even with wet/dry rinsing, cutters built into the foils don't get all the way clean.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. You make some valid points regarding the Braun Series 8 and 9. The Series 8 does indeed have a more traditional foil setup with 2 foils and a trimmer, which can be appealing if you prefer a simpler design without the additional bars and trimmers found in the Series 9.

Regarding cleaning, I understand the concern about not being able to easily remove the foils to access the cutters. Even with wet/dry rinsing, it can be challenging to get everything thoroughly clean with the integrated designs. The Series 8 might offer easier maintenance in this regard, as the more straightforward foil design could make cleaning more manageable.
